DR and Venezuela have damn good lineups. But as someone has probably already said, you put a team of Trout, Harper, Arenado, Bryant, Posey, etc. on the field and it's an ass whooping all around. Still like the WBC a lot though

That's the problem.

The USA players don't see this as an honor like the Latin players do.

For the pitchers I understand why they're not all in but I don't get why the hitters wouldn't all show up

Frankly the teams could open up the ST site early. Sandoval was working out at the Sox ST early.

Let these guys come in early to start getting into shape.
