'Tis but a scratch...
Are the Detroit Lions now the saddest franchise in professional sports?
I think so.

Browns.
We have a lot more sucking to do if we're gonna challenge.
Doing it in Baltimore only makes the Browns worse imo.True, but the current version of the Browns hasn't been around that long. The original Browns franchise has won two Super Bowls, even if they had to get out of Cleveland to do so.

True.Your Lions have 1 playoff win ('91) since 1957. Even the pathetic Browns haven't gone that long w/o a playoff win.

True.
There can't be many fanbases who collectively remember where they were, what the weather was like, who they were with, what they ate, etc, for EVERY. SINGLE. PLAYOFF game in their lifetime.
I know I can.
I still have faith in Kevin Costner as GM though. As long as Jimmy Haslam owns the Browns they'll be 1 of the biggest jokes in the NFL year in & year out. I'm convinced that Haslam is by far the most incompetent owner in the league.
Teams like the Mariners and Nationals/Expos have never even made the World Series.
You're putting me in a tough spot Howie.Expos -- 1969 expansion team
Mariners -- 1976 expansion team
Super Bowl began in 1967, and the Lions drought goes back to 1957.
Of pro sports teams that were in existence pre-Super Bowl era, you've pretty much got the Lions having the longest stretch of never making it to the final championship round/game of its sport. Even the sucky Maple Leafs won a Stanley Cup in '67.
