Honestly I'm happy Witcher 3 and CD Projekt Red won not only because Witcher 3 is a great game but they're also a great studio. Besides the amount of free DLC they give away they were able to produce a legitimate AAA game despite not being a high end studio.

Witcher 3 is my second favorite game of the year, with Fallout 4 taking the cake.

Currently I have my 2015 games ranked:

1) Destiny Taken King
2) Witcher 3
3) Bloodborne


Witcher 3 has the best side missions, best world map and one of the best story progressions of any game I've ever played so I have no problem with it winning GOTY. Destiny's actual gameplay and Bloodborne's actual gameplay are much better, though.

Not if you're not a big fan of shooters. *haven't played Bloodborne yet.

I wouldn't classify Bloodborne as a shooter, it's more Dark Souls with a few guns only it's not as hard

I've only played Bloodborne for about 3-4 hours but its much harder than playing Dark Souls correctly. Dark Souls had OP melee weapon drops that let you cruise through the game and magic attacks that let you kite most enemies.

That said, I could be playing Bloodborne wrong.
