At the time most said the Pacers won it.

But, now? Sabonis and the Kings are balling and LOOK LIKE they could break the playoff slump, maybe at least getting to the play-in at least. And that would be major progress.

Halliburton has really thrived in Indiana developing into a stud and the Pacers have been a surprise themselves.

Vote and discuss.

I'd consider both teams winners here. But Pacers with edge considering they got the best player on team friendly deal

Making the playoffs does not make a team a winner of a deal.

More than half the league makes the playoffs. Most of the teams that do have no chance once they get there.

Assuming the Kings are one of those teams, giving up Haliburton makes them big time losers.

For a downtrodden franchise like the Kings and their fan base? Making the playoffs is a step in the right direction.

A step to where?

They aren’t going anywhere anytime soon

Saying it is a step implies that they have somewhere to go beyond making the playoffs.

Kings made a short term gain but the deal is gonna look worse and worse for them as the years go by. Haliburton is a stud.

Dude.

The idea of skipping the play-in is a major win for that franchise who last made the playoffs when we dumped Artest on them.

Unless your known boner for GS still exists, there is no clear-cut title favorite out west. Just get in the top six and compete and see what happens.

Slight edge to the Kings

Haliburton is the best player in the trade overall BUT Sacramento didn't need him. They needed Sabonis and his presence has let Fox flourish

So while Indiana got the best player the Kings gained more from it

It worked it really well for both though

The Kings have no shot to contend and the just gifted Indiana their franchise player so they could make a play in game.

That is horrendous management and why the Kings are where they are every single year.

Your Pacers won the deal by a lot. Be happy.

So the play-in matters for Indy but not Sac?

Make up your mind. You can't have it both ways....LOL.

This is a great point but I still think it's a wash and basically a draw.

Man you clown yourself with your lack of knowledge sometimes.

The Pacers have the best player in the deal and he is still on a rookie contract.

Easy win.

They have control of Haliburton for a long time and a chance to build good pieces around him. They actually do have steps to take.

The Kings dont.

Very clear and obvious difference.

So LOL all you want.

He isn't on a rookie contract for long....And when is the last time a major free agent went to the Pacers? So that cap space won't really matter.

Throw out insults all you want when you get frustrated....just shows you can't argue intelligently....

So Sac's success so far this season isn't due to Sabonis at all?

And it's still early true....but that goes for both Sac AND Indy.

3 people voted for Sac and 4 said it was a wash to 2 for Indy.

But, as usual Lance is always the smartest man in the room.

Showing again you don’t know the NBA.

Halliburton is an RFA. Pacers can keep him for 4 years after his rookie deal is up.

He is still gonna get paid as a RFA.

So enlighten us when was the last TIME Indy actually used their cap space to sign a FA that was a difference maker?
