"Taggart has declined the huge offer".

Would have been a big step down to take that job.

Hey Willie, do you want to move to Mississippi with possible NCAA sanctions hanging over your head?

Nobody wants the Ole Miss job. They're going to have trouble landing someone. Gotta go the coordinator route or find a guy at a small school. Throw that money at David Cutliffe and see if he bites.

Too many big openings.

Cutcliff wouldn’t take that job at any price.
They might be able to talk Tubberville into it.

Ole Mrs has returned to the basement with Vandy, where they have belonged for decades before they hired Freeze and told him to win at all costs. Ole Miss is back to being a stepping stone program for coaches now. They couldn’t lure a head coach from a quality D1 program if they tried.

If it get's him out of the broadcast booth, I'm all for it.

had to listen to him last week for the Aggie game. I wanted to run a phillips screwdriver through my ear drums.

He hasn’t found his voice for broadcasts for sure but I like him better than Mac Brown. Your point is valid.

It isn't the sound of his voice. It's the the complete BS. On the final A&M drive, twice an Ole Miss player face masked the Aggie RB enough for the head to turn and Tubs was making it sound like it was bad luck and questionable officiating that determined the game.

That being said, bad broadcasting is an industry wide thing. Sometimes it's like these guys just roll out of bed and go run their mouth for 3 plus hours. They don't know the players, they use the standard "we have to get this out of football" anytime there is a targeting call (even if it is overturned on replay), the run on and on about dumb stuff that isn't relevant to the game, and can't break down a play to save their life. It's just lazy and hard to listen to.

He isn't leaving. But if he was going to leave I would hope he does it this year since it would put us in play to get Chip.

But Taggart currently has the #1 recruiting class for next season, a healthy Herbert is surely to be a Heisman candidate, a young team returning. The future is bright in Eugene and Taggart probably likes what he sees.

Cutcliffe already said no to Tennessee, pretty sure Ole Miss isn't going to pry him from Duke
