Last I heard he has not signed the new deal and I'm unaware if there are any time restraints on that deal trying to force him to accept or deny before that last FSU game.

Clearly there is no doubt Taggart has not as of now ruled out taking an offer from FSU or he would have signed that thing the moment it hit his desk.

We won't know how this all plays out until after that last FSU game which is coming up shortly.

Ok, I had not seen the announcement that Jimbo has officially resigned and already taken the TAMU job.

Taggart is officially on the clock now. Shit might move pretty quickly.

I'm sure no one has a good feel for which way Taggart is going with it. All we know for sure is he hasn't ruled out going to FSU so far so it is at least possible.

As for the presser later today, Canzano reported that his 2:30pm Pacific 'media availability' was something already scheduled and nothing has come out about whether or not there is any changes to it. So we may, or may not, actually see him at a podium by that time.

its been hard to gauge. a couple different tweets or retweets have given the indication he would stay at Oregon. recruits have been reporting good in home visits with current staff. I dont know if Taggart is the kind of guy to llie to a bunch of kids faces. but I also dont know what was said in those meetings.

I have no idea what impact his potential leaving would have. Right now I'm just sitting back with all of this drama across the P5's and enjoying the fact it really hasn't hit us much outside of shedding an OC most don't feel was that important to the overall focus and direction of the program moving forward anyway.

Crazy coaching change season already and it just seems to keep getting weirder and more deep by the day.

Taggart didnt want to address any rumors or social media. wanted to talk about this team, practice and bowl games. little bit on recruiting. claimed not to have been contacted by FSU at this time.
was asked if he planned on being the oregon coach in 2018 his answer is Why woundt i be?
said he addressed rumors with his staff with his players and with recruits. he says he is open and honest.

Sure, there are a couple of position coaches I could see Smith going after. Clearly the one that always has us the most nervous is Jimmy Lake the secondary coach and asst DC. He did come out again and say he's not going anywhere blah blah blah, but what else would he say? Who knows if anyone makes him an offer he simply can't refuse. I would say that's more likely at UCLA than Oregon State, but you never know right?

No team right now should feel secure with any really good coaches/recruiters on their staff. This is one of the more interesting and terrifying silly seasons I can remember.
