They have a defense now ya know. We're not going to lose to Texas Tech. Retarded. What possible reason would they beat us for the first time in a decade, and in Stillwater?
No. And also, nobody is taking a BS avy bet with you this year either.
It's West Virginia's turn to get some love.
Next man up en sech
Okie St will make the same noise they make every year.
It'll be loud, but not loud enough.
The Okie St folks are in a difficult position. They don't know if they should just
except heart break or if they should gamble and risk a return to below average play.
They don't know if higher expectations are worth the risk.
Gundy will enter next season...his 14th...with a record of 114-53 .683.
When he arrived Okie St, all-time was 470-492-49 .489.
Gundy has been awesome by OSU standards. He has turned a consistent loser into
a consistent winner. But they still don't win titles and still get whipped by OU.
Gundy doesn't recruit good enough to surpass or even just pull even with OU.
Since 2000 (18 years) OU is 195-45 .813.
The OSU folks probably all know and understand that Gundy is not the guy to get
them pass OU...but they are afraid to gamble on finding somebody that might be
able to break even with OU. Pulling even with OU is directly on the path to winning
a title. You ain't gonna do one if you don't do the other.
It's their expectations not ours. The problem for them becomes, if they've accepted
getting beat by OU, yearly, then their players and coaches have also.
Thus...the noise will remain loud...just not loud enough.
