Well when I hear "He's had X coordinators in Y years" it's usually that they are getting sent packing because the QB position isn't performing well.

He hasn't had good receivers, but it's not like he makes any of them better that I've seen. And he's going to a team where their best proven receiver has 4 career touchdowns.

He's got talent. We see that every week when he zips in a throw on a perfect read. But he hasn't put it together yet for any sort of stretch. Not saying he's a bust. If Alex Smith can change his game up and be solid, anyone can, but a 1st is a lot to give up, and it was a move based on need more than value.

The bar was unexpectedly set last year when they won the division. As a fan, just getting to the playoffs and being competitive, would be deemed satisfactory in my books. Nothing is guaranteed.

It was a desperation move by a deperate team. If the Bradford we have seen the past 6 years is the one in MN he will be either injured or average. Will average get it done, Is average worth a 1st and 4th? Not in my book.

The price the Vikings paid wasn’t as steep as you think it was. Consider, in 7 years in the NFL, Sam Bradford has had 6 different Offensive Coordinators. He has been on bad teams where the number one receiver would barely be a number 2 on most teams. Seriously, name a receiver that he played with on the Rams that was any good? My point is many QB’s are either better for their surroundings or worse. Sam has been obviously been in some pretty bad surroundings in his career. I think it’s safe to say that this is the best team and coaching staff he’s ever been around and for once he’ll have the fortune of being better because of it.

I think at least 15 Eagles fans on this forum made this exact same post last year.

Oddsmakers sure don't like Bradford either. They went from 20/1 to 35/1 with the Bridgewater injury. The Bradford signing didn't move that needle at all.

When? They make moves immediately following injuries or significant signings. They've had 4 days now to adjust for Bradfords signing. Even if it bumps up to 30/1, then they're in the prestigious company of the Cowboys and Raiders.

Yeah I don't think they are winning the Bowl. I just think they have a great deal of balance. They have the best defense in the division, the best running back, best O-Line and they have a shit load of talent at WR. With the right approach I think they can win the division.

Obviously the Packers powder puff schedule is working against me.

Bradford has a 33% comp% when pressured has a career avg yds per attempt of 6.5 yds which only Marc Sanchize and Matt Cassel have worse #'s. It remains to be seen if this deal will work but it's highly doubtful with the history and resume that Bradford has built over the years that he will be the savior for the Vikes this season.
