Most likely true, as Bama has more 'pedigree' compared to Wisconsin.

While may be not true at this point, let's say Bama gets in over Wisconsin solely because of their name. Then next year a similar situation happens and Bama gets in because of their 'history'. Rinse and repeat. How many times will the name on the jersey get favoritism.


No matter what anyone believes regarding the selection, I think we can all agree that the NAME (money) is always going to be the deciding factor when two similar teams are compared. As such, when will the non-NAME school ever get a chance in the subjective world?


This is the ONLY collegiate sporting division in which you can win EVERY game and still not be a champion. That is the definition of a BROKEN system!

I AGREE that they should have the chance if they won their conference. However, Toledo won their conference and should have that chance.

If you're so confident that they wouldn't have a chance, then why NOT play the game in a TRUE playoff that accepts every conference champion and then fils out the remaining slots to wild cards?



I'm assuming you're still one that believe the Patriots should have been declared the champions even though their only loss was in the Suoer Bowl to the Giants.
