Maybe, but I only see the upgrade icon on my desktop, not on my laptop, so.....I'm not sure of that. Haven't found any info that addresses this.

The windows update KB3035583 is the update that offers the Windows 10 upgrade - check your update history or see if it's available.

Yeah that one and another one, I got both updates so that's not it. Trying a fix from Microsoft, maybe later today.

In a few days, some of us will be running windows 10. Let's give folks some feed back on what we think of it.

Windows X: I will be running an older SandyBridge i5 2500K with 16GBRAM, a middle-of-the road ATI/AMD video card and an SSD - should be plenty fast enough for the bloat, bring on the f*cked up networking!

I will be running two NICs on two separate networks. One side is a simple peer-to-peer LAN with static ip's and file/printer sharing (wired only). The other is a DHCP WAN, internet, WIFI and no printer/file sharing. So simple to set up with Linux and NFS: Samba, however, has always given me... issues. Will be focused on that for the most part.

Sheesh, like I said on the notices, NT and 2000 were separate branches of Windows with NT having its own numbers. Somebody has no clue to the history of Windows versions (notice they left out Windows ME, too. Which was the bridge between 98 and XP after NT was was merged with Windows home products).
