Yeah, No.

I lean more towards Justin Fuente.
Experience
Success
Oklahoma ties

I also like Paul Chryst at Wisconsin but don't know how he would fit in

Fickell....you mean the one coach we have a win against at OSU in the last 13 years?

Lol. We have a surprise for y'all in September. Should've backed out of this game like y'all did with our basketball series.

I'm not worried about a team that went 4-8 last year who we get to play at home...coached by the only coach we've beat at OSU in the last decade+.

The whole Dabo leaving for Bama???

That would be interesting to see if he would leave Clemson....

He did play like 2 games for Alabama and won a natty there as a player which is why everyone pegs him as a successor for Saban. He does have a good situation going on in Clemson. I don't know if he would want to go to an overall tougher conference when he has such great facilities and opportunities at Clemson.

Dabo was a walk-on receiver who played in every game of the 1992 national championship team. Well, he started out as a walk-on, but eventually earned a scholarship and played in 3 seasons.

But he rarely had the ball thrown to him. He had less than 100 yards over his 3-year career(25 games). He certainly wasn't a household name or anything.

Alabama also gave him his first coaching gig as an assistant.

Alabama is probably the only school that could pull him away from Clemson at this point, and he has indicated in the past that he would take the job if offered.

College Football History is littered with Coaches that were given all the tools and never made anything happen.

He had seven receptions over his entire time there. I was too lazy to look at how many games he actually played.

I see some folks are still sticking to the Urban to ND nonsense.

Brian Ferentz will be my guess. Or by the time Kirk's contract runs up, they find a way to let him live forever.

Haven't read it yet...guessing Scott Frost.

Edit: Yup. I'm not as big on that idea as a lot of people.

Most were either previous assistant coaches of current coach or former players/assistants.

Dabo will be at Clemson until I'm dead. He ain't goin' anywhere. I don't care what those cousin humpers say.
I love ya E.T, but I am going to miss you when Saban retires. Dabo will be our next coach, I only wish you hadnt forced my hand and set the conditions for his hire, for now I must break out the big guns.

One never really knows.

All it would take is another fake heart attack....

....and then back to South Bend just like the good ol' days!
