That's stupid shit fans outside of the game say. There is no way they were even one tiny bit cocky or full of anything. That's just not how they are.

They got out played. Nothing more, nothing less. It happens. Sometimes it even happens to teams that are better than the one that played better and they lose. That's college football.

USC won the battle of the trenches that day and came out with a win. Would have loved to have seen what a rematch would have looked like, but destroying Colorado was a nice consolation prize.

I'd like to add to that. Both the OC and DC called a shit fvcking game imo. The run was never established, stupid ass play calling, nobody covered SC's TE and UW started blitzing way too late in the game.

Take into account the PAC leader in sacks was knocked out for the season a few games before that with a broken foot and the UW leader in tackles was knocked out in the 1st qtr vs SC with a broken leg.
