Overall our preparation was a big key too, we put forth a lot of effort preparing for both what we expected and what was unexpected and late in the game it showed.

Shout out to the defensive coordinators too, we came out not sure what to expect. Our players were slow to react, didn't look like they had confidence in what they were seeing or doing. We were sitting off and letting them do what they wanted. I was already waiting for the day they'd get fired, then something unexpected happened because it hadn't happened in years. They made in-game adjustments, something not seen from a Boise State defensive coordinator since Pete Kwiatkowski was here. It looked like an entirely new defense took the field, and it was wonderful to watch.

Bachmeier is already a star in his first game, can't wait to see what the coming seasons hold with him. We also have a powerful run game

Well they had 8 months to prepare to I would HOPE that they were prepared.

Fact is Boise State gave up 31 points in the 1st half and after the D-Coordinators made their half-time adjustments Boise State gave up ZERO points in the 2nd half. That's SOME adjustment at half-time.
