Ackley needs to show up for a whole year.
Zunino needs to hit about 50 points higher.
Morrison needs to play a full season. So glad we finally gave up on the Smoak Monster.
Brad Miller, you're the man at short now, play like it!

Yeah, that would really be big for your team. And, no, I don't see that happening.

Bumgarner will be a top ten pitcher. While I agree Cain wont be close to madison he could be a solid two.

Jason Kipnis, signed a big extension, then went on to bat .240 6HRs 41 RBIs in 129 games. That is garbage.

Also, Michael Bourn needs to have a healthy season.

Shit. Nick Swisher signed the richest FA contract in Indians history (how sad is that?), and has since missed a quarter of the team's games and carried a slash line of .231/.316/.386/.702.

But hey, he makes funny faces and jerks off in the dugout...

Fuck that guy. "Brohio" and all.

Red Sox look to have a line up that can bang out 850+ runs without even trying so I would put the onus on the entire pitching staff. Every last freakin one of them.

Boston's ace: Clay Buchholz

Let that thought wash over you.

I'm a big fan of Bumgarner's - had him in my keeper fantasy league since 2008 - but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned about his innings last year. He pitched 270 innings in '15, many of them being "high stress" innings. That's a 21% increase over his previous high of 223.1 IP in 2012, and a 34% increase over 2013.

Like it or not, there is a statistical correlation between large inning increases and injury/regression. Of course, not every pitcher that has a significant IP increase from year to year experiences problems, and I hope that Bumgarner proves to be an exception.

During Swisher's last year with the Yankees he did a radio interview on a local rock station and I can't say I was shocked at how stupid this kid sounded.. Wow!

Could be worse.

Theoretically.

Hehehe.

Clay Buttholz is frustrating. Either he's really, really good and gets injured, or he stays healthy and sucks ass. Not exactly who I'd want anchoring a rotation.

I still think the Sox might be the favorites in a division that seems up for grabs to just about any team in it.

He fucking annoyed me when he was with the A's. Then he joined the White Sox, who I hate, and continued to annoy the piss out of me. Then he joined the Yanks, who I also hate, so I thought one of my most disliked players was making his rounds through my most disliked teams. Then he signed with the Indians. I tried to not dislike him, and it almost worked, but then he sucked at baseball, so fuck him.

He has put together a few amazing runs of a dozen starts or more, but he can't seem to do it for a whole season. If this is a contract year, maybe he will tough it out give the Sox 25+ solid starts.

I think the Red Sox offense can carry them in the weak ass AL East.

I'm okay with the boss giving him some extra time off between games, but he hates it. He always wants the ball which I guess is normal for athletes of his caliber. The sheer number of pitches thrown in 2014 (4,158 according to brooksbaseball) seems pretty high. It comes out to a 22% increase from 2013, 13% increase over 2012 and a 19% increase over 2011. Dude's seriously country strong, but damn, that's a lot of work. Should be an interesting year.
