Lets say they are all running behind an average oline.

I think Elliott is the best but hard to compare a rookie to two guys who have been in the league for years.

We have seen Murray is not great without a decent offensive line, as he lacks wiggle and needs to build up speed. McCoy on the other hand can operate even behind a mediocre line due to his ability to make the first guy miss.

It's way too early to put EE in this argument. We need to see much more of him. Having said that, I would take LeSean McCoy over DeMarco Murray in a perfect world with no injuries. I like his speed, versatility and ability to create plays over Murray. I think that was proven last year when Murray wasn't given the same holes he saw in Dallas and was reduced to a non factor while McCoy has played in multiple systems and excelled in all of them....when he is on the field.

If we are factoring in durability I'd give it to Murray in a slight edge. I'm a Cowboys fan but you'll have to see me in a few years about EE.

Point and case EVERYONE would be picking Todd Gurley as the best RB of the 4 if it were still August.

I still think Gurley is special and I would still take him over the other 3 but its pretty close.

where's the Arizona back?
Last week he was the best of the bunch that included Bell.

way to early and besides, like emmitt, it's the line anyways.

this.

David johnson looks the part of a stud. Ajayi looks good this year too.

As for Murray, is the OL of Tennessee that great? McCoy is a good RB, but I'd actually take Sproles over Shady any day if looking for a shifty RB that can catch too.

1. Elliott
2. McCoy
3. Murray

I would put Murray higher if he wasn't injury prone.

IMO David Johnson is the definition of a system back. I blame that NFL behind the scenes show from last year a little bit on that, though.

I'd say Shady is more injury prone than Murray at this point.

The first time Murray played a full season since high school was during his breakout year in Dallas and he decided to play through a broken thumb that year. He probably wouldn't normally have toughed it out and played all 16 but it was a contract year.

Too early honestly. But EE has the skills to be elite...his cutting ability and vision is superb and his elite track speed is something you can't teach. But McCoy is better than Murray IMO

Elliot looks really promising. But he's playing behind an absolutely dominant line.

I would like to see how he plays when a couple of the Cowboys starters are out and the line isn't bullying people around.

We are already down one "starter".

I'll take Elliott from these 3. Tough runner between the tackles, has speed, and it appears as though he can catch pretty well too. McCoy a close 2nd. I am not that big on Murray.

Where is Jay Ajayi? That kid is playing incredibly good. He has a better yards per attempt than Zeke, and if he hadn't been benched for being a jerk in week one he would likely be right behind Zeke in total rushing yards too. Ajayi wasn't even the starter until about week 4 when it became obvious he was outplaying Foster. In his first 3 games Ajayi only touched the ball 18 times and he's still 6th in rushing yards.

Now don't get me wrong, Zeke is phenomenal and he's playing out of his mind but Ajayi should be getting more credit than he's receiving so far too.

How bout Melvin Gordon, the one young back in this league that is seemingly overlooked, he is getting better and better

Than of course Johnson and Bell

No doubt Gordon is also getting overlooked. It's not hard to see why since Zeke is playing crazy good football right now, but these other young RB's deserve mentioning too. I especially like Ajayi since he's really only been Miami's #1 RB since week 5 and he's still over 700 yards rushing and he has the best yards per attempt of any of the RB's in the top 10. It would be really interesting to know how many yards he'd have if he'd been starting from week 1.

Not going to anoint one RB over another, but seeing Murray racking up yards again, will any established FA RB ever sign with a Chip Kelly ran team again? Hyde's under 4 yards per carry in SF.
