Why is it they dominate in the tournament but are second-tier players in the NBA?

The guy from Notre Dame is white. SF Austin's leading scorer is that Walkup guy.

He didn't lose them the game. He forced a couple shots at the end, but he's the reason they were in it.
The poor dribbling/turnover, not boxing out and forced shots is what I'm getting at.

He played selfish, they lost.

What this article fails to address is are white Americans less athletic than white European players?

Is Matthew Dellavedova more athletic than the McAlarney guy? Is Raul Neto more athletic than Walkup from SFA? Etc. The video goes in depth on why there are a lot of African Americans but does not answer the question about why there are no white American guards in the NBA.

And, the answer to that question, IMO, is that they're not given the same opportunity. They've got to overcome a stereotype on the basketball courts with regards to their athleticism from the time they start playing organized basketball. Whereas people like Dellevadova, Neto, Dirk, Nash grew up playing in other countries and likely didn't have to battle the same stereotypes.

He finished 7/13 with zero turnovers. Lead the team in rebounds, points, was 7-7 from the line and had 5 assists. He didn't cost them the game.

It's been a long time that I identified anyone by race. I see Maize and Blue, then I see everyone else after that I see scarlet and gray. Maize and Blue is going home, scarlet and gray never got off the bus. But I guess with our president and other racists, we are suppose to bring everything back to race ... so I'll bite: Why?

Has nothing to do with race..........did it ever occur I am white? Just a simple question that is based on actual evidence. White dudes ball in the tourneys. And well white guys that play basketball have some street-like desire(they like to date around, make their sex lives open, beat their wives).

Walkup is their best player. He played great. Yea he made a few mistakes in the end, but he was the whole reason SFA was even this far in the tournement. I wouldn't be surprised if he was given a shot in the NBA.

By the way, out of the Top 50 NBA players scoring, 9 of them are white.

Gordon Hayward is really, really good.

I wouldn't say they dominate but they tend to get the most publicity from hitting the clutch shot or being a mid major player no one heard of who had a great game

I also never realized why in a basketball sense, if a guy is half black, half white, that the black guys get him.

Aaron Godron and Zach LaVine are both half white.

I do remember him. Was he any less athletic than the european players in the NBA? That I don't remember. I just remember his jump shot and him lighting Carolina up. I was in high school when was a junior. I was watching way more basketball then than I have this year.
