I know it is only one game, but there were a couple of notable assist marks posted.

Harden. If he continues this, it will make his team better and he will win MVP. No doubt.

Very, very impressive. 34 pts 8 rebounds 17 assists

Only one game but call me impressed

Philly situation.

Harden has always been a great passer, it's just that he dominated the ball so much in an offense that was catered towards him that we didn't see it nearly as often. His assists numbers have always been very good, so him passing is not a surprise. Also he's never had the fire power before that his team has now. Ariza has generally always been his best wing threat along with him and now Ariza is almost an after thought with all their weapons.

I went with Harden. It should be mentioned though that the Rockets lost to the Lakers that have a very young team sans Mozgov and Deng who are merely role/mentors at this juncture, even though they're paid to be more than that.

Team was 0-0 and Houston has a few new guys that don't hate Harden yet. Give it time.

I think Harden will post ridiculous stat lines all season, but I doubt the Rockets are good enough for him to be a legit MVP candidate.

At this way too early moment, the top 4 for me are:

LeBron
Leonard
Lillard/Westbrook

I think Leonard will win if he keeps it up. LeBron will rest too many games.

I think Blake has an outside chance. He looks awesome, and I think LAC will be a 2 seed, 3 at worst.
