Hehe. I mean, if it happens I'll be dancing in the streets en sech.

But my expectations for GT on an annual basis are:

8-4 regular season with either a win over UGA or a bowl game win. On a bad year I'm willing to accept a 6-6 season. (1 bad year every 5 years or so). On a good year I'd like to see a 10-2 season. (Also maybe 1 good year every 5 years or so).

Good luck hoping for those seasons.

Fire PJ, find a coach that runs a system from this century, and start pulling in your share of the local talent in Atlanta and the state of Georgia.......and maybe you guys will actually see a NC.

Keep running this crap you are now, and YES, you will BE MEDIOCRE AT BEST

The difference between Texas and GT.......Texas DOESN'T SETTLE for mediocrity, they fire people and try to hire winners

GT not so much

The last time Texas had a winning season was 2013. Why should we or anyone take football advice from you?

Texas doesn't settle for mediocrity? You guys would have to IMPROVE to get to mediocrity.

Texas has an athletics budget of ~$170 million. Georgia Tech has a budget of ~$70 million. You guys pay more than double, $100 million more than us to suck. You overspend so much just to suck you should be in charge of the Federal Government.

LOL. OK fine then.......continue on thru the wilderness as you are.

Texas FIRED their NC winning coach. They fired his replacement. And they'll fire Herman if he fails to win.

WHAT is GT going to do, give Johnson another extension to suck? Good luck with that. It's no stretch to say your stance is myopic at best, and completely idiotic at worst.

But hey, you guys are fine with never being winners, so there's that

Maybe you missed Mack's last 3 years - they fired him 2 years too late

Nobody's tried to hire him either.......speaks volumes

Every program goes through some slumps. And in his last 3 years he still won 8, 9 & 8 games. 2010 was his only losing season during his career @ Texas. They haven't had a winning season since he was fired. And maybe after 29 years as HC he didn't want to coach again?

Yea Sumlin is just not very good. I hope they keep him.
With oil prices where they are I bet Summy will last the entire season and will likely be back unless he wins less than 8 games. Big Money Ags can't buy him out yet.

You really don't get how bad Mack was back then. He was basically mailing it in on the recruiting trail as well......which is why we had a year of 0 draft picks. The last few years are teams of mostly HIS recruits.

It's not about the wins/loses it's how you did it atleast I think that's what Woodward meant in his interview with Mr. Fnebaum.

LOL, it's about the wins and losses.

NOBODY cares if they lose every game by one point......if they lose, Sumlin's done. And there's a good chance this team won't be all that good.

Question marks at QB, WR and OL, as well as a suspect DL and LB core. There is a good chance A&M gets ROLLED in conference play.

If they win, Sumlin will have earned his paycheck, that's for certain. But I think you still have to question his priorities on the recruiting trail.

Best year for DBs in the state in as long as I can remember, and he's only in on ONE kid in the top 10? Hasn't really gotten any impact LBs in years? OL recruiting has been suspect, but he's loading up on WRs every year?

Sumlin is definitely on the hot seat for a lot of reasons.

What I find curious is his contract and that instant payoff of his buyout......how do you let that happen as an AD?

So, every year before the season starts I do a big thread on "Predict your team's regular season record"

Last year the only Texas fan who had the balls to even respond was "ElTexan".

This year will you actually man up and predict how Texas is going to do during the regular season?

No way Texas goes below .500 this year. even with the new coaching staff.

So, @starbigd , I can't help but notice your team finished 6-6 again this year. $170 million athletic budget well spent!

Why was Dantonio on the list? He had s down year, but MSU won’t fire him without a streak of several seasons of suckdom.
