I totally agree with that.This is true, but don't discount the importance of continuity with the coach & QB(maybe even ownership). Stability means something. Talent at the QB position does, too, of course.

Attrition is huge when it comes down to repeating success . Also I think your team's age is big too. If you've got a bunch of young dudes they don't know they're not supposed to go back and be good the next year. A veteran team is more likely to dwell on the missed opportunity imoI totally agree with that.
GM, Head Coach, QB and OTs are all pretty essential to continued success. I just dont think the previous year gets to them all that much if there is a good foundation there. The guys eat/breathe/sleep winning and when you do that then you believe that you can win.
