The funny thing is, people will actually get offended by your comment. And you're certainly not wrong. 70s/80s it was clearly Bruins/Celtics/Red Sox above all. Bruins and Celtics were winning championships, Red Sox were going to two of the greatest WS ever and were competitive. All 3 of those were historical franchises. The Patriots started to ascend in the 90s, so not just with Brady. And that was due to a couple factors. Parcells/Bledsoe bringing some life to the team, Kraft buying them, and the other 3 teams struggling. Then they took off with Brady.
