Little over 4m a year, still think thats too much. But im happy for him personally.

Expectations are definitely higher for him this year though.

I was hoping 3 million a year, but Good to have him back.

Kearse has improved every year, caught over 70% of his targets, and it gives Wilson 3 receivers this year he's very comfortable with who all caught fire in the second half. Kearse had about the same yards but had 25% more receptions in the second half and 4 TDs compared to 1. He also lit up Carolina in the playoff game once we fixed our turnover issue and our O-Line got their head out of their ass.

He's also only 26 and hasn't really had any injuries to note. Lastly, 1 drop in 2015. Not bad. Unlike Mohammed "LOL" Sanu's stupid contract who's best season is just above Kearse and leads the NFL routinely in drops.

I'd give the grade a B based on the circumstances (an A based on what every other stupid team is paying for receivers). I would've liked to see 3 years $10M... something in the $3-4 range. He's currently in the $4-5 range, but everyone is overpaying this year. Few teams have gotten amazing bargains. I'm sure it's only another $2M foregone.

With Rubin, Lane, rookies (reserved), and Kearse... we're probably looking at about $15M or so left of cap. I guess I'd like to see another $7M of that go to Okung leaving us with $8M. That allows us to target some more line help and then hopefully fix the rest of the Line/LBer, and some additional secondary help with the draft. Fortunately we have an extra 3rd to work with as well.

If Graham is good to go early in the season that gives us all the weapons on offense we need since Lockett/Baldwin just tore up everyone second half. Defensively we just need to fill in holes and add to the interior pass rush while focusing everything else on the O-Line and snagging a mid round RBack for depth/backup.

Nice to have him back. It's a slight overpay, but not we're you screaming WTF.

He's proved he does have value to this org and that's pretty decent value for a dependable #2 type receiver that he is. He's made some really important catches for this team when needed.

Like that we got Lane and him resigned. Good progress there.

I truly believe he thought he could get 5-6m on the market. No one budged so he went back to the Hawks. Still a slight overpay imo. Either way, good for Kearse, glad to have him back

Same.

The thing I do love about him is that he seems to show up in January. Just never been consistent and he will be the #4 option once Graham is healthy. It is great that Wilson has all his weapons back plus a healthy Richardson hopefully

Glad to have him back. After losing a couple of our bigger free agents early on, it's nice to see some re-signings. Hopefully Okung is next.

I guess Okung is visiting with the Giants, then Detroit I believe....

Yeah, I just saw that. I can't imagine he'll drag the process out too long even though he's serving as his own agent.

So far the off season is going well with our re-signings and departures as expected, but I have this gut feeling Okung is gone. Seems like the "strong offer" might not have been enough since he has to visits lined up and Det is very desperate for o-line help.

Working as his own agent, he's probably just trying to do his due diligence and meet with as many teams as possible that want to meet with him. I don't know if he'll end up re-signing with us or not, but I can't blame him for getting an offer from the Seahawks and then going to the other interested teams to see what they're willing to offer.

It's going come down how much are these teams willing to risk on a player who has had some injuries issues and just got surgery.

I read Det will probably be big payers for his service since they need serious help on the line.

Count me in as one of those happy the Seahawks kept Kearse around.

LOL! I'm glad he's here but that whole 'I'm gone' crap was a joke. Not many people were interested. He's dropped some balls and has an elite QB throwing to him. All is forgiven though. He brings a lot of positive attitude to the offense.

shocked he stayed and shocked he got 4+ million out of the Hawks. Happy that he is here though as it's one less area we need to worry about ( still can upgrade if we have the chance though )

I can't find the contract details on this yet, but if it is structured similar to Lane's with a backloaded deal then it isn't too bad. Something like $3.5 million hit in the first year, $4.5 million in the second year, $5.5 million in the third year with a $1.5 million cap hit if he is cut in the third year is not too bad a deal.

It is a bit much for a #3 option but I will withhold judgement until we see the contract details though.
