also pullman is no farther to Spokane which is like Washingtons second biggest city.
Corvallis is a straight shot down I-5 from Salem. A person would have to be high as fvck to think it's near as remote as Pullman.

Yes but is Pullman close to the beach!??
Corvallis is like an hour to the coast. We call it the coast because even on nice days its not the same as cali beaches

It's not warm (usually).

Warm Oregon beach weather you probably have to go to Brookings (which is really out in the middle of nowhere)

Ahh gotcha. I wasn’t really sure but on the map both Oregon universities look not far from the coast which is cool.

Is Newport Beach (Oregon) not nice?
Scenic. Walk along the sand, skip rocks maybe feet in but people dont generally go swimming at oregon "beaches"
Southern area maybe as you approach cali .

I did not know that. I thank you. Is it because of the proximity to the arctic ocean?

Not the best Oregon beach imo but the most iconic.

Cannon Beach

The Gold Beach (SW Oregon) including Brookings is the warmest beaches in that state. The reason people don't usually swim in the ocean in Washington state and Oregon beaches is for three reasons:

1. rollers aka logs. Instant death is the norm if you get hit with one of these.
2. cold .. the Pacific is colder than the Atlantic in regards to the US coastline.
3. undertows .. these are common in the PNW and will literally take a person a quarter mile or even more out into the ocean.
