This is from the Wimbledon locker room hall way area.

Why are there the names of both retired females, and current females?

I can't see a connection.

It has former players such as Conchita Martinez and Jana Novotna, and current players like Lucie Safarova and Caroline Wozniacki.

The facility is probably open to all former champions as well as current entrants.

It's not just random retired females.

Thanks.

That seems like a lot of effort to engrave their names. Seems like something they've have to update every year.

Wait. That seems like that's the entire list, because alphabetically, it starts with Azarenka, and goes through Wozniacki.

There has to be more than 27 ladies that make up the retired players + entrants list.

Just the entrants would be more than 27.

Hmm, interesting.

Ok, I think I got it. Bartoli, Navratilova, Novotna are a part of the senior ladies doubles.

Conchita Martinez wasn't.

As you've suggested though, she may have access to the locker room this year as a coach or something.

Conchita's website says she works closely with Anastasia Rodionova. And Rodionova did enter in doubles (with her sister).

And as you've said, there's probably multiple locker rooms, because they can't fit 128 people (singles) in one locker room. So that makes sense, that they'd have several different ones. Didn't think about that before.

Meticulous question then, what word what you use? (I'm not being snarky). Would you just consider it like a printed list on paper they paste in front of the locker room?

Here's a pic, with directions to various locker rooms:

This 2nd pic also shows that the 1st pic is the Lady Members' Dressing Room.

The 27 ladies mentioned in the 1st pic are Members (whether full or partial).

Here's an article on membership:

So, putting the information from the two pics together, there's 3 locker rooms. A Ladies North; Ladies South; and a Ladies Member.
