What if ECU beats SCAR?

Here is what I took from it:
Probably one of the most impressive games of last week
Sumlin: "We're not just a one trick pony."
Teams show the biggest improvement from week 1 to week 2.
It looked like SC was preparing for another JFF and put a spy on him and played a deep zone most of the time and Kenny just picked them apart. I don't think they will be as bad against ECU.
Our defense did a pretty good job stopping the run and other than a couple of blown coveages/missed assignments they were much improved from last year.
As good as they looked there is a lot of room for improvement. Good thing we play two more "toughies" before the pigs in Jerry world. The schedule gets pretty brutal after that.

SC overrated? Maybe a little.
A&M overhyped? Perhaps.
Maybe if all these other powerhouses didn't suck so bad in week 1 people would have something else to talk about.

I think we're gonna find out A&M is just good and USCe still ain't bad. But, as Tigerbait said, I'd just laugh my ass off at em and try to work the Cockabooses in somehow.

Off topic: Did anyone else see that CNN is going to be sending a reporter and prospective pres. candidates to SEC games together? They started with Rick Perry in South Carolina last week mingling in the Cockabooses. I can't wait to see who goes to the Bama-LSU game, but most likely Jindal.

I'm almost certain I read it here that Alabama went 0-2 to start the season last year. And I looked at the polls and we were still ranked #1 after the second week.

So I don't think what you've posted is true at all.

I would hold it against TAMU for right now. I might think "maybe the win wasn't as impressive as I thought." If TAMU competes with, or even beats, their next tough opponent, then I wouldn't consider how good SCar was against them, for they have proven against someone that we have seen do good for a few weeks.

So would you think they should or would move A&M back to lets say around 15 or 16 because there top 10 ranking wasn't justifiable for their BS win over an unranked USCe team to move them 10 up spots

if east carolina beats south carolina, then that will diminish aTm's win somewhat (but it was still 24 points on the road) and raise east carolina's profile a bit.

we'll just have to see how the season unfolds from there. if east carolina ends up winning 10 games, then south carolina might still end up being decent (though not what we thought they were) and texas a&m might still be really good.

perhaps a better question is what happens when south carolina wins, and then east carolina goes on to win 9+ games anyway?

it was still a road win by 24 points. even if it comes against a team that ends up barely making a bowl game, that isn't a bad performance and is certainly more impressive than a 40 point win over an FCS school.

keep in mind, texas a&m is still ranked about on the same level as ohio state. so unless navy goes on to really impress, what's really the bias?
