If he wouldn't have played like absolute dog shit against the one good team Ohio State played, I'd have him in the top 5. The game against PSU will mean a lot towards him getting into contention.

From an actual QB talent potential standpoint, I'm not sure he's ahead of Burrow and Haskins. I think if either of those guys were here in 2014, they'd be starting instead. However, you can't discount what he's done. Kevin Wilson's coaching is starting to show. If he goes out against PSU and totally lays an egg, fine. Right now, though, if the season were to end, he is undoubtedly a Heisman finalist.

I mean, you're a pretty unabashed OSU disliker, at least. However, if the season ended right now, he would be top 5. For fuck's sake, ESPN has Minkah Fitzpatrick in their rankings. Doesn't take much to realize it's not realistic. We both know he'd be in New York as the nation's leader in TD passes with a top 5 QBR and only 1 INT playing for the #6 team in the nation.

I’d think even the most die hard fans of OSU can recognize this and realize why people would make comments. It is like the UM fans calling O’Korn a real QB because he threw for almost 300 yards on Purdue. Most teams in CFB are simple overmatched. It is what you do against the other talented programs that wins you a Heisman. (Unless you have a year where there is no clear cut leader)

No I'm really not. Again, 22 TD/1 INT, top 5 in QBR, also adding 5 TDs on the ground. Ever since Oklahoma, he's been amazing. Regardless of who he has been playing, putting together the numbers he has put together is extremely impressive.
