I don't think it was important enough for its own thread so I'm gonna ask the question in here:

How good is Riley Ferguson? I've only seen bits of game time and highlights, but is he an NFL QB?

Josh Adams deserves to be on the list. Second only to Love in ypc and with about 50 fewer attempts.

He was a great general last night. He gets the yards but there were 3 games where he failed to get more TDs than interceptions. ULM and UCF, he had 1 TD and 4 interceptions. He had 1 TD and 1 Int last night.

But having 4 of 7 games > 300 is quite an accomplishment.

I think the battle for the Heisman will be in the Big12 when it's all said and done.
Mayfield, Grier and Rudolph all have to play down the stretch while the RBs will likely fade away.

Gonna be cool seeing 3 Big12 QB's sitting at the ceremony.

Also, JT Barrett.. lulz, no.

I see we have a lot of Ohio State homers voting.

If you want to talk better quarterbacks, it's not even remotely close.
Appears we have some retards here. Nice job retarding, fellas.

Barkley, Love, Rudolph and Baker are the clear top 4 right now IMO. I'd probably go Hurts 5th.

...seriously? Dude has under 1600 total yards and only 14 total TDs. He's not even close to sniffing the voting.

He won't put up startling numbers due to the nature of the offense, but he's got 14 TD's like you said, and just 1 INT. Plus he plays for the best team in the country.

14 TOTAL TDs, not passing TDs. That doesn't get him close to anyone. For example, JT Barrett has 26 total TDs and 2200 total yards (and 1 INT), leaps and bounds better than Hurts, and he plays in a very similar offense. He's also got a higher completion %, higher YPA, and much better rating, yet you left him off?

There is a team aspect to it and Barrett also laid an egg against the best opponent he's faced all year. Barrett has great stats, but so does Lamar Jackson, and he isn't sniffing anybody's top 5(rightfully so).

And they don't play in similar offenses. Barrett attempts a lot more throws per game.

It's more of a team award than anything.

I think if Bama gets to 10-0, and Jalen hss no more than 3 ints, he will get attention, whether it's deserved or not. Nobody was praising Derrick Henry early in the season, either. JMO

His stats vs Oklahoma weren't much worse than Hurts' against FSU. Hurts had 1/0 while Barrett had 0/1, but Barrett had over 100 more total yards.

You're not making any kind of case for Hurts to be included in the Heisman discussion, especially over Barrett.

His stats won't be there because of the offense they run. Like I said the top 4 is pretty clear cut. I gave the nod to Hurts because he's been good, and plays for the best team. If I just wanted to put somebody in with good stats, I'd put Lamar over Barrett anyway.

Would that be based on his lower completion percentage, significantly lower QB rating, fewer TD passes, more INTs, or the fact that he plays for a bad team?

lol, please spare me the completion % bs. Lamar has 26 TD's and over 3,000 yards of total offense. And yes he plays for a shitty team. Which is why he's not in my top 5.

So yards is all that matters? Barrett has been a better player.

No. Neither deserves to be top 5, so it doesn't matter. If you wanna argue who's in 7th be my guest.
There's no valid argument to Barrett not being top 5. This board is not pro-Buckeye and he's top 5. You're wrong and really have no way to prove otherwise.
