Mine is the running game. If the skins can find a way to average 100 - 110 yards per game, and NOT turn the ball over every other part of this team should be in better shape.

the RB position ...

i was not happy about the teams decision to let Morris walk ... and without a running game it turn Cousins into a one dimensional target.

Obviously ... we still have question with the oline protecting Cousins, and the ST performing, not to mention the safety position.

But the loss of Morris now puts the RB poistion at my number one concern.

You are spot on Krush. NTs are becoming less important in the game. Although the Redskins say their base defense is 3-4 they are in 4-3, nickel or dime about 70% of the time.

I believe you will see more players like Su'a Cravens become main stream in the NFL due to today's passing game and games like we had like the playoff game where teams go hurry up. If you have more versatile players on the field you don't have to worry about getting caught in a bad position since you are more adaptable.

versatile players is the key ... back in the day the QB used to be the punter.

Now if we could just get Cousins to punt the ball.

1. DO we have enough talent on the D-line
2. Which players that we assume will be starters end up as backups or not on the team.

As Crush mentioned I think versatility is going to be the key to making roster going forward. One trick ponies might find themselves on the Turks list at the end of camp.

There are plenty of other questions and certainly positions that are in worse shape than qb but nothing is as important for the future of the franchise as what kirk does.

Agree 100%. Long term issues like the running game and DT can be fixed pretty easily (perhaps not for this season but moving forward). However QB issues are much more difficult to correct. I believe in Cousins, but we all need more proof to truly be convinced. Another solid season by KC should make this team a true contender for a very, very long time.

to me its all about being as healthy as possible . i think our issues can be mitigated to a certain degree but we need another draft , and also this draft to prove we have the talent to be a contender year in and year out

all the above holes are 100% true , some will be fixed , others will be an eyesore but staying healthy at key spots will determine if we can really compete and beat some of the better teams

pittsburgh week one is a big test on the dreaded national TV format against a contending team and if health issue arise before or during the game it could hurt us a jordan reed concussion , a pulled DJ hammy , a josh norman torn ACL , a ryan kerrigan bicep injury would be hard to overcome

we still have work to do as far as talent acquisition is concerned and the good thing is we are heading in the right direction

If Cousins has to carry the team,we already screwed up. IF he can be the guy to LEAD the team, and the front office can live with that. I think we found our guy. But if they want a super star thats going to sell jerseys and be the poster boy for the NFL... I dont think Kirk is that guy.
