They have changed up the format a little this year...it's not the old sudden death event it used to be...the big guns are surviving for the most part. Fowler could be in trouble...0-1-1... they do start getting eliminated now I think.

Didn't they start this format last year? And yes...today's matches determine who gets eliminated/advances to the final 16 ((8 matches).

I think last year was still one loss and done, but I could be wrong...I thought I heard the format was new for this yr. but wasn't intently paying attention then.

I looked it up....same format last year with some minor tweaks.

Oh okay..so one loss and you're out was two years ago?...figures I'm behind...I didn't see much of the early rounds last year...only the weekend.

Yeah....the current system is much better than just show up for one day and you're potentially done - especially in a case where a player plays well, but still lost to an even hotter player.

Wow - I guess that I was wrong about the Reed-Mickelson matchup (at least thus far). Reed is on fire & blowing away Mickelson through 7 holes - we will see.

Nice that an Austin course gets some views on TV. It's a beautiful course, right on Lake Austin (Colorado River) with the loop 360 bridge running right by it, get a great view most days when I cross the bridge.

I've never played it, but know people that have...I'm just a hacker. But have a lot of history in that area, great part of the city.

The course did look great and far more hilly than I remember the terrain being, but that was a long time ago.

Back issues at 28 y/o is not good...I wonder if he's a factor at Augusta now...definitely needs to shut it down until then...two win already.
