Just out of curiosity... are you suggesting this based on recent performance? I am asking because it would normally seem strange to let Hardy play DH when he contributes more through his glove (but this would make sense from the viewpoint that Hardy is currently hitting better than our other DH options).

To be fair, Flaherty is actually not too bad at 2B. The question is whether that would translate to SS.

Also, another concern regarding the "Flaherty at SS / Hardy at DH" idea is that it's somewhat similar to having the primary catcher play DH-- if the position player gets injured, you would have to forfeit the DH for the rest of the game in order to move the DH back on the field.
