yeah, and if we lose it is on the offense and the officials... they are responsible for at least a 7 if not an 11 point swing in favour of the Chargers.

not stepping on the chargers throat on the 4th and 1 right before the half was a miscue.. but other than that, he's finally upgrading his play calling (for now) by mixing it up and not abandoning the running game.

if he was smart, he'd QB sneak this 3rd and 1. no time to fuck around.

the officials have cost the eagles nothing. they let mills get away with a blatant interference call in the endzone, and the chargers got the FG instead. they called the hands to the face and gave the eagles a new set of downs, which led to smallwood's TD. the only real cheap one was the bosa falling down call. both teams have been sloppy and have paid for it.

Doug's playcalling has been fine the whole season - taking what is available. And indeed, against the Chargers a run-heavy approach is part of it.

I'm ok with the play calling
There were drives that Eagles O did not execute and they had to punt or settle for FG

When they don't get pressure on Rivers he carves the secondary up

Those 2 factors will be to blame

One thing I'm not blaming is the officials

It wasn't as balant as u make it out to be. It was a uncatchable ball, period.

One thing can be said at this point...this offense is proving they can close. Right drive, right playcalls, right execution. Perhaps the best thing to be said for this defense is that they give lots of opportunity for the offense to prove they can do these tough things. Confidence building.

The offense reminds me some of the early 2000s mcnabb offenses. No, not the personnel exactly. It's an offense that comes out and does a few things early, goes into a funk midgame and closes strong. If we had JJs defenses from back then we could easily be talking deep playoff run.

Anyway...these are heart stopping games...but the offense is getting able to build such confidence.
