Seems like we are trying to find Perine more PT. Juggling the 3 is tough. McLaughlin hasn't had the same type of runs he had earlier in the year but I agree with you we need to find a way to utilize his speed a bit more. A lot of 1-3 yard runs recently. Perine has cut into his carries the past few weeks too. Good problem to have I guess. I think part of it it is that McLaughlin never had to pass block in college so everytime he is in the game you pretty much know the ball is getting handed off to him. Might have to be creative to disguise his ability a bit better. When he is in the backfield right now you know what is coming. Teams have seen the tape where he can't pass block.

Perine is the better back right now, maybe even the best overall back on the team right now, so he deserves the PT, but McLaughlin will have a couple year run in Denver of where he gets better and better though.

Payton's offensive game plans the last few games have really keyed in on what the Broncos should do well against the other teams fronts. His game planning and play calling have been exceptional as he gets this team dialed in. Really nice to see.

I think the way we are set up to best win games right now that McLaughlin's role's role is going to be different then it is one year from now. We have figured out what works best for us to win this year and that doesn't seem to include as much as we liked the big plays right now. More smash mouth style. I think he will develop into his role as our team tweaks a bit going forward.

My biggest fear was Denver would do all this work to get back into the race and then shit the bed when it counted. And so far it looks like that’s what’s happening.

After all the hope and optimism, being down 13-3 at half with an Offense that only has 104 yards cant be seen as anything other than disapointing.

Certainly not the start we had hoped for. I was really hoping for a TD there at the half. Houston has moved the ball very well but that has not equated to an insurmountable gap on the scoreboard. Yet. Broncos need to change the dynamic of this game in the second half.

You’d think a game of this caliber is something they could suck it up and deal with the early start for but apparently not
