Flex schedule, we got booted from our prime time game against the Eagles. They opted to go with the Whiners and Packers instead
They can be. But there isn't a rule that says it's a penalty to hit "helmet to helmet." Here's what the rules don't allow you to do when it comes to helmet hits:Are you disputing that helmet to helmet hits are a personal foul?
So the 49ers lose to US and the network's reaction is to reward them and downgrade us? Or maybe it's more about Philly not being all that special?Flex schedule, we got booted from our prime time game against the Eagles. They opted to go with the Whiners and Packers instead
So after last night's win, do we stop worrying about margin of victory for this team going forward? It's now proven that it doesn't mean a whole lot. The 49ers were stomping teams that we were just getting past, and it didn't matter last night. I think we play to maximize the chance for a win, not to maximize the chance to win big.
It is all about moneySo the 49ers lose to US and the network's reaction is to reward them and downgrade us? Or maybe it's more about Philly not being all that special?
Yeah, no doubt about that. But why didn't they just schedule it like that to begin with? It's not like GB or SF has suddenly picked up a bunch of fans this year. GB is a perennial darling, and SF has one of the best winning traditions and came into the season with quite a bit of hype.It is all about money
San Fran had the second worst record in the league last year. That is what the schedule makers went on. Now they have a good record, change it up. SF is darling franchise though. Fans everywhere. And maybe they had a bad record last year, but it's not like they're an irrelevant team. Jimmy G, hot commodity new coach, Sherman yapping. I dunno...I just don't see how it could be a big surprise to anyone that GB-SF is a hot matchup. GB vs a polished turd would probably still draw better than one of our games.San Fran had the second worst record in the league last year. That is what the schedule makers went on. I thought the Hawks would be a year or two away with the rebuild of our D but HFA is in striking distance. It was great to see our D energized and making plays all over the field. Held the best rush team to under 90yds. Great win going into the bye week.
I think getting HFA is not going to be easy. We have the same record as New Orleans. They have the tie breaker.
There scorching hot right now
NO is good, but scorching hot is debatable after their ice bucket challenge vs Atlanta 4 days ago. They also play CAR twice still, as well as SF and another matchup with the Falcons on the road this time.I think getting HFA is not going to be easy. We have the same record as New Orleans. I get your point, but they just got smoked by Atlanta, who's very not good. Certainly not a lock to run the table.
Yeah, I'm in agreement on that. I don't think this is some injustice or anything...just it's a bit lame, especially since Philly is still a division leader, and they took the game all the way down from prime time to a 10am pacific start. It's gonna cause Hawks fans to miss out on all sorts of action in the early time slot. The only 2 games now in the 4pm eastern slot that day are Jags v Titans and Cowboys v Patriots, so I guess the league is also telling us they really want us to watch Dallas vs NE.Probably has to do with both teams being divisional leaders and the winner has HFA throughout the playoffs... I see why they made the decision... If Eagles had a better record, then it probably would've stayed...
