For those that ranked K-State ahead of Nebraska, what is it about K-State's 55-16 victory over FCS Stephen F. Austin that was more impressive than Nebraska's 55-7 victory over FBS Florida Atlantic in which they racked up 784 yards to FAU's 200? Not saying Nebraska or K-State should even be ranked Top 20 based on either performance, but one was just clearly more dominant.
Note I was in attendance for the K-State game and watched the Huskers later on my DVR.

Because K-State has a remote chance of winning more than 9 games this year?

:dhd:

I kid, but...

okay, I put it in wrong thread.:L

Some teams looked better than I anticipated. Those include,

Texas a&m
BYU
Okla State
WVU
Georgia
Nebraska
USC
Oh, and Miss State- Dak Prescott looked good

and some teams that looked worse than I anticipated:

South Carolina
Ucla
FSU
Baylor
Bama
Tex Tech

The rest of the major teams looked about like I anticipated. Some of these are,

Oklahoma, Stanford, Auburn, Notre Dame, MSU, LSU, Miss, etc.

Some I give a pass, such as Ohio State-actually just a little worse than I thought even without Miller.

Just some quick thoughts...

I watched a LOT of games this weekend. DVR'd a bunch, and also watched a number of replays on Sunday, Monday. So I feel I have a pretty good view of week one.

Add also:

Arizona/UTSA
Colorado State/Boise State
South Carolina/East Carolina
North Carolina/San Diego State
Eastern Washington/Washington
Washington State/Nevada

I did see both of these teams play. UTSA is amazing, being only, what there third or fourth year of playing football? Arizona looked pretty good too.

Who said anything about the NC or #1?

But behind Texas? That is ludicrous. Not to mention NC and Florida.

Someone has Oregon behind Texas? That is pretty non-computable.

I watched the Oregon game, and I agree with you Mamba, there were a few issues. But, I'm anticipating they'll be addressed. For example, some silly mistakes, those will be rectified. They only thing that I feel yall want to keep an eye on was a few of the run defense plays. But nothing really major.

I have KSU (15) ranked third best in the Big XII, and Nebraska (17) ranked third best in the B1G. Interchangeable honestly but homerific of me going Big XII over B1G I guess. :noidea:.
OK :noidea: Those are my two favorite teams, so I obviously paid most of my attention to those two games this last weekend. Maybe I'm wearing scarlet colored glasses, but Nebraska looked leaps and bounds better than K-State. But then again, it is only the first game(s) of the season.

There were really only about 3 impressive performances week Georgia, A@M amd USC. Yeah yeah what about LSU?? Well anyone who watched the game wouldnt call ity impressive. Frankly Im not sure either of those teams is any good. Everyone else either underperformed ex[ectations ( FSU, Bama, UCLA, Auburn ) or played cupcakes. Changing your poll is fine but only if you have 1 of the 3 teams I mentioned at number 1. If you are basing your poll off of actual performance that is really the only teams you could have ranked first.

Auburn underperformed? Odd, seeing as how they covered the spread despite taking a knee in the red zone as time expired.

Yeah I think so. I dont give a shit about the spread. Auburn played poorly for a large portion of the game compared to how good I think they really are.

New Buckeye QB looked pretty decent in his first start. Made some dumb decisions but also made some good plays. Season might not be completely lost.

He did? I didn't think he looked very good at all; seemed like the game was moving a bit too fast for him. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on account of not having played a game in nearly two years though.

There is nothing homerific about my poll unless you think OU at 4 is me being a homer.

I don't live in a trailer park, I don't live in Oklahoma, I live in Texas. The only cousin fucking I see usually has burnt orange on with horns up.

Admittance to watching cousin fucking. I rest my case boys.

Offense was lights out the entire game; Defense was bad in the first half, but got it together after halftime.

As for not caring about the spread... it is probably one of the best ways to judge how a team performed relative to their expectations.
