Week 1: Hawks @ Rams

Typical Rams-Hawks game... last minute FG may just decide the winner. 17-14 Hawks.

Outside of the Seattle and Atlanta game, I have no idea what other games did you see them take a step back in. Their defense had 3 bad games all year long. The issue with Arizona is that they had their 4th string QB playing due to injuries to the other Qbs.

Their defense had 4 games last year where they gave up 500 yards, and a fifth giving up 400. They were 2-3 in those 5 games, but if not for a Philadelphia fumble and an INT inside the 5 and 4 Washington turnovers (1 fumble and 3 interceptions) in the 4th quarter, they could have easily been 0-5 in those game. They were outgained 11 times (and many of them by absurd amounts), including half of Palmer's starts. I always felt that they were lucking their way into their early wins by having dud games vs. bad opponents, and losing Palmer and Skelton was just asking too much for them to overcome to continue the luck. Their defense wasn't all that good last year.

Sure the Rams DL vs our OL will be nail biting, but don't forget their OL sucks too and our DL has been outstanding so far. That might come down to whose QB makes plays while under pressure better and that's clearly Russell.

At least he's accustomed to it. On the other hand, Foles may be in for something he's never seen before.

The Rams always play us tight in their house, and we still are trying to get comfortable with all the new pieces on offense. It's going to be ugly at times, I think. 20-17, and I have no clue who comes out on top.

I think it comes down to how well Bevell adjusts to their pressure, but ultimately they can't overcome our special teams for once. Lockett takes one to the house and the Rams can't recover. 21-10 Hawks!

I'm approaching this expecting the offense to get stifled mostly, but a some big plays here and their to put up a few points. Hoping the ST can help with scoring and counting on the defense to shut down the Rams offense.

100%, bevell is an idiot that loves calling the same play that never works repeatedly. expect at least 4 bubble screens to slow doug baldwin too. love baldwin, but the guy is not the WR that should be catching bubble screens.

damn, i still have no idea how the Hawks fell for that so badly.

Anyway, I like the Hawks and I like them comfortably in this game. 24-9 in front of 10,000 fans and 8,500 of them will be Seahawk fans.

This game for some reason reminds me of a few other Seahawks opening day games. They were ugly with scores like 10-6 and 13 to 9 or something like that. I say the score is 9 to 6 in a ugly UGLY game and Russell is sacked 7 times.
