Quick question from a degenerate Draft Kings player---who is more likely to get the bulk of the carries-Dwayne Washington or Myles Gaskin?

Washington (3-3 overall, 1-2 Pac-12) travels to take on Stanford (5-1, 4-0) Saturday night in Palo Alto. The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. PT and air live on ESPN. The Cardinal, winner of five straight since a season-opening loss at Northwestern, enter the game ranked No. 10 in the AP Top 25 and No. 11 in the USA Today coaches’ poll.

Washington has played 10 true freshmen this season: OL Trey Adams, LB Tevis Bartlett, QB Jake Browning, LB Ben Burr-Kirven, TB Myles Gaskin, DB Austin Joyner, WR Chico McClatcher, DB Jordan Miller, WR Quinten Pounds and WR Isaiah Renfro ... Washington’s current roster includes 52 freshmen (true and redshirt) and 24 sophomores, as compared to 13 seniors ...

UW KEY PLAYERS
RB MylesGaskin: 498 yards, 5 TDs
TE JoshuaPerkins 21 catches
LB AzeemVictor: 53 tackles
S BuddaBaker: 22 tackles

STANFORD KEY PLAYERS
QB Kevin Hogan: 170.8 rating
RB Christian McCaffrey: 253.0 all-purpose yards
LB Blake Martinez: 70 tackles
CB Ronnie Harris: 9 pass breakups

QUARTERBACK QUESTION: Jake Browning? K.J.Carta-Samuels? Jeff Lindquist? The Huskies have been coy about their quarterback situation this week after Browning suffered what appeared to be a minor shoulder injury on his throwing arm late against Oregon last week. Carta-Samuels, a Bay Area native, replaced Browning in the Huskies’ final drive against Oregon, and coaches said Lindquist would get some looks in practice this week.

POWER vs. POWER: The Huskies have the Pac-12’s top-ranked defense. Stanford has the Pac-12’s top scoring offense through four conference games. The Cardinal also have its specialty jumbo package featuring seven or eight offensive linemen, with running back ChristianMcCaffrey lining up at times in a Wildcat package.

Washington didn't play in last weeks game as he tweaked something during warm ups and didn't end up playing the entire game. I can't find any info on if he's going to playing tonight or sitting out again for this game.

If he is playing tonight, expect him to get the majority of RB snaps. He's a lot bigger and more experienced than freshman Gaskin.

And if Browning isn't playing, Washington is going to just run the ball all game long.

Word is Jake Browning isn't involved in passing drills during warmups. Looking likely that Carta-Samuels will be the starter for the Huskies tonight. Las Vegas appears to have unleashed a spread of -19 at this point, so that's got to be factoring in that Browning will most likely not being playing tonight.

Oh boy....this could get ugly fast.

Gaskin has pretty much solidified himself as the starting tailback for this team. Washington was out last week, but even back he will be more of a short down back and a receiving threat out of the backfield.

Gaskin took most of the snaps at talkback the prior game as well, even with DW on the field. Gaskin gives them explosive play capability and is showing maturity beyond his youth in being patient for his plays to develop. He's your #1 right now no matter how healthy Washington is.

If it's KJ out there I'd expect a lot more running from the QB position as well. -19 is probably about right with him at the helm instead of Browning. You'd have to expect more turnovers on our part.

Well they just said Browning is now completely suited up and throwing passes. Smoke and mirrors by Petersen as usual....

Let's hope his shoulder is good to go. They need him at full strength if they plan on even being in sniffing distance to open the 4th.

If Stanford scores over 24 I can't see any way UW has a chance unless we get a defensive TD or two.

Yeah, I didn't notice it at first. I thought he went pretty easy on me until he pointed it out...
