Okay, I know I'm somewhat-late to the party... But let me add my two cents into the Holtby/Emery fight.
Yes. Emery is stupid for fighting Holtby, someone who didn't want to fight in the first place. You saw the referee (St. Laurent) try to break it up. It wasn't St. Laurent's fault that the fight happened; it looked like he got shoved out of the way. When the rookie Washington player got up close, you obviously see St. Laurent telling him to stay back.
I've actually seen people on other boards say things like "oh, the ref should be suspended for letting the fight happen". He tried to prevent the fight from happening. Meanwhile, if this Washington rookie got in on the fight, then it would have triggered more chaos. Plus, I'm sure a third man in thing just wouldn't have flown.
Lose-lose situation for St. Laurent (and pretty much everyone involved).
