Yeah, hopefully this injury won't cost him too much on the court. But yes, looking for a better effort from these guys than the last time the Lakers played them...

On the subject of Kobe's eventual/imminent return: it is very important that his teammates do not take the attitude of "Kobe's back!! All is well!!" and expect him to fix everything. While this team has been inconsistent, they have also shown some promise.

If they try to sit back and let Kobe do all of the heavy lifting, things will get worse, not better.

I think the attitudes of Nick Young and Xavier Henry wanting the ball and their shots is a safeguard to not let Kobe do everything. Jordon Hill and Farmar are way past letting Kobe do everything as well. Even Stevie Blake has stepped up his game and he can not now fade back in deference to Kobe like he did last year. He is past that. If he does, he'll hear it from the fans, I'm sure.

No, I think Kobe gets it that this team is much different and he is one year older returning from a very bad injury. If the rest of the team was shrinking in Kobe-worship, he would have come back earlier but he gets it that this team may be something special in the long run and his ticket to number six. I don't foresee him sacrificing that chance just to be the number one guy and destroy team chemistry that is pretty darn good even though they still have some things to work out on the court.

this young squad will only get better with time & will definetly be a key for Kobe to get another ring in the near future, depending on what free agents we get next season & possibly also in 2015. I would Love to see Kevin Love as a Laker

But in order for us to attract Superstar Free Agent player's we need to get rid Dumbtoni....In all honesty nobody want's to play for this guy. He is just plain idiot just like Jim Buss

work in progress but maybe just maybe Kobe lifts all these young cats' games/confidence to another level....agreed that Kobe won't attempt to be the savior and team will play spectator when he's on the court.
As was said, a year older with a serious injury and much closer to retirement than the beginning, he'll defer and be another weapon for our arsenal. I feel his presence alone on the court will improve the chemistry further.

I'll be watching this one on the big screen tonight. I think it would be great if the Lakers can oust this young Warriors team that the logo has put together as a consultant and they are good no doubt about it. Another chance for another step in improvement.
