Waiver Deadline Acquisitions

My suggestions for waiver pickups (if available) right before the rosters expand on September 1:

1) Cameron Maybin - Atlanta is in a dealing mood and we have a recent trade history with them. Maybin is protection in case of outfielder injury, especially Fowler.

Venable and Byrd are gone.

2) Kyle Lohse - longman and extra inning eater. More injury protection even with the Trevor Cahill minor league signing.

Any other suggestions?

Emilio Bonifacio

Bonifacio provides versatility and speed. We've had him before and he seems to start off well before slumping. He and Cahill are value additions for the playoff push.

It is starting to look like Maddon is set on his 7,8,9th inning Ps. I like Grimm, Strop,and Rondon. I wouldn't mind seeing a top notch lefty to get the Big lefties out. Wood is more of a long man. Russell is pretty good. I wouldn't mind a slight upgrade here. Not many out there however.

yeah but then Grimm will end up in the 5th or 6th inning too. Everyone is having rough outings, its not the same James Russell that was here when Marshall was here, seems like Richards is the best option for one lefty hitter like the Giants did last night.

Correct. I would like to have that one guy that you could be comfortable with facing Adrian Gonzalez, Heyward, Duda, Belt, etc. Saw where Soriano was starting rehab- any word on Ramirez
