Ah that was moar of a VT drive: 1st down run for short/no gain, 2nd down run for short/no gain, 3rd down get sacked. Then follow it up with a short punt.

Sounds about right. Also, ESPN3 is a viable option if you have cable

OK, AJ Hughes is definitely struggling.

When you're in your own end zone, which the Hokies often are, you really need to punt better than that.

Three and outs from your own end zone with poor punting just gives the other team a continuation of their last drive.

You put it in there though. Punting from your end zone doesn't give you your general time to punt. Hard to be efficient under that type of pressure. I'm just glad they aren't getting close to blocking them

2 points. Blame special teams. Horrible field position and letting the BC special teams down the ball after it started bouncing from like the 10 2 times in a row.

We're doing ok when we have field position but special teams has to do a better job. This isn't just BC having good punts pinning us deep, this has been a season long problem and it's pinned us deep several times this year. I know typically you hear don't fair catch a ball at the 10 but we need to start doing that. It's better to have it caught at the 9 than downed at 2. The opposing teams are getting way too many men down field, making it easy to down the ball.

That 4th down play is a good example of Loeffler's faults. I'm fine with going for it. Its a good decision. But the whole drive was up tempo and we're getting yards. We get to the 4th and 1 and we slow down and take our time. WTF. That makes no damn sense at all. It gave BC time to compose itself and they set their defense.

The offense was working really well, so it was time to change it up a bit.

i swear, everytime the D comes up with a 4th down stop or a turnover, the offense comes out and goes 3 and out. No such thing as momentum with this team
