Beamer came into a completely different situation. You know that.

Still takes a coach a good 4-5 years to get the players they want and their system implemented to their liking.

So, how long does that mean it will take London?

False. It can take that long in extreme circumstances unlike what London walked into at UVA.

If london makes it to the 2014 season as the HC at UVA... I will be very surprised. He has so much talent there, and they are all his guys now. And UVA will win either 3 or 4 games this year. Could possibly see 5 wins, if something crazy were to happen. But another bowl-less season and a 10th straight loss to VT... Curtains for officer mike

Either yall have some dumb fans, or an out of state school is playing both of us. Thankfully, Nnadi can see through the bullshit.

No need to try and pin this on a VT fan. Nnadi needs to make up his own mind and ignore the trolls on twitter.

I find myself reading articles from SI at times that have VT content just to try and get a quick fix when it comes to VT football. I have to say this crappy UVA writer from SB Nation is pretty pathetic. I guess there's not much to talk about from a UVGay perspective so his articles are all about trying to dog VT.

Wow...leave it up to a UVGay writer to talk about how the U, BC, and VT has weakened the conference wrt olympic sports.

I mean olympic sports are nice, but when are people going to realize that outside of thosewho are somehow affiliated with that sport, nooone really cares about it. Football is King...the average fan generally cares about football (to a lesser degree basketball, and even lesser baseball).

Why are you reading that crappy site to begin with?

Anywho, I'd argue that VT has stepped UP it's game on these sports since joining the ACC. Certainly it has done well in the last few years in wrestling, baseball, and track and field, while UMD has been DROPPING sports for budgetary reasons, and UVA has been whipping themselves silly to develop a football program.

So who cares what UVa-biased commenters write? I'd call it sour grapes.

In fact, I'd call the writer somewhat of a fucking moron. This is a summary of the top results from the ACC:

UNC finished first among ACC schools, followed by Florida State (11th), Duke (12th) and Virginia (20th). N.C. State (34th), Virginia Tech (36th) and Maryland (44th) also finished among the top 50 nationally.

Football pays the mortgage and car payments.

Basketball pays cable and electricity

Baseball pays the water bill

All those Olympic sports pat that 10 dollar trash bill you get every three months so you know...

...piss off WhoVA

Duke makes more football revenue than UVA. Classic

Edit: Hindsight that makes sense since Duke has a better team.

I guess all those wine-sippers at UVa buy a lot of lacrosse hats.

But who cares?

I know - SI used to have a few decent VT-related articles from time to time that would pop up (a few years back to say the least). Old habit I guess.

Tell me, jeffro, were you trying to diss your school? Because that's exactly what you just did here.

lol at UVA. I'm sure they'd love to make more money from the football program, but they've just been so bad for so long how can you blame the fans for not ponying up?

The first graph in that article shows as much, and the author even acknowledged it... then immediately forgot what he just wrote and based his entire case on a 10 year average. Please. That's just pitiful analysis. Must be a liberal arts major...

UVa has sucked at football since Welsh was forced out in favor of Groh. I'm not blind to the obvious.
