I raise my eyebrow a bit at the "good shooter" part. The Tech Hoops piece had a link to some Euro tournament he played in. In 9 games, he was 36% and 30% from 3. That's not what I'd call "good". Don't get me wrong. He could definitely come in and improve as a shooter because its something that can be taught. But people need to slow their roll on the "good" label if his numbers are like that 9 game sample size. You're building up expectations on him that aren't fair

I would absolutely call that good, we only have like one player capable of those numbers right now, and he's leaving after this year!

I think Adam Smith will be pretty good at the offensive end. He did pretty well in the CAA which is one of the best midmajor conferences. Problem is he's not a good passer, he might be a volume shooter and he might be too short to defend shooting guards.

That's part of the reason why I think we need to be playing Brown as a PG right now (the other part is he can't shoot worth shit). Get Brown use to being the primary ball handler and have Smith get shots off secondary action. Defensively, they can switch positions so that shouldn't be a problem.

I think the same thing with Brown. He is a really good passer. Too turnover prone handling the ball (big problem), but a good facilitator and good size if he were to be a PG

I was excited when I saw that we're on national TV today at the NC State game but then I remembered how bad we are this year.

God Brown sucks. Missed a WIDE open 15 footer. Fucking pathetic.

Edit: Yeah that's kind of harsh, but when your job is to shoot the ball, it just blows my mind that you can miss that by so much

That play was pretty physical, but at first glance it looked like he traveled first anyways. Keep feeding the hot hands of Wood and, of course, Green.

Wood is probably the most underrated player in all of college basketball (outside of Matthew Dellavedova).

Gotta steal the inbounds pass. Wood can't get this pass. I might consider fouling someone before they throw it in, not let them cut to get open

Big time shot there, but i think they need to add some time to the clock (if they can even look at that). WOW, he missed. I'm not sure that was a smart TO by Gott, just tell them to foul when he dribbles, the TO sets up a shot for VT.
