UVA game is on ESPNU right now. Tune in now to see us lose by 20. They're doing a bang up job on Green. Coaching staff should take notes on how to play defense.

I see guarding Joe Harris was not part of the gameplan.

JJ hasn't reached the "gameplan" chapter of "How to coach D1 basketball" book yet. He's still got 3 chapters and a worksheet to go before that

Do Eddie or Brown wear contacts/glasses? How is it they shoot so bad every game?

so evidently the rest of the team can score...on the condition that Green is off...once Green gets going, no one else can shoot anymore

Green has been hitting the sauce it seems. When asked why he struggled so much in the 1st half against UVa, he responded with:

“Nothing changed. It wasn’t their defense. My shots just weren’t falling. I
had some great looks. I didn’t feel like they did anything. Nobody stopped
me. I just couldn’t get the ball to go in the basket.”

Green is suffering from exhaustion. It was reflected in his last two games.

But you can tell yourself what you want.

UVA really didnt stop him from getting good looks at the basket during the entire game, he forced a couple, but over all, including the first half, he mostly took good shots, and the same type of shots he has been draining all season

Be interesting to see what this recruiting class can do. At least we will actually have depth for the first time in years.

Rev = KipTJam on twitter. He's a college basketball scout and a huge VT fan. Best follow I'm aware of when it comes to VT basketball.

his take on the latest commit:

I raise my eyebrow a bit at the "good shooter" part. The Tech Hoops piece had a link to some Euro tournament he played in. In 9 games, he was 36% and 30% from 3. That's not what I'd call "good". Don't get me wrong. He could definitely come in and improve as a shooter because its something that can be taught. But people need to slow their roll on the "good" label if his numbers are like that 9 game sample size. You're building up expectations on him that aren't fair
