Not to say that attending camps should be top priority for a high school teenager on their summer vacation, but Bucky is a "late sleeper" if you know what I mean. Not saying he's not the real deal. He definitely seems to be but personally i'm glad that we have Carlis Parker too ... Bucky has a LOT of potential but a little push and good competition never hurt nobody.

All these camps and tournaments seem really shady to me anyway. It doesn't bother me that he's not participating. Just hope he's working with his coaches to keep getting better.

I also found Parker's tape more impressive. It will be interesting to compare their Senior tape. I still think Bucky has the inside track and I'm OK with that.

If Parker was such a good passer then why is he not a 4 star with that running ability? Other than almost never looking to his left he looks pretty good on his film so maybe his non-highlight passing game is bad

He was injured last season. No Junior film for the "experts" to go on.

The laziness characteristic comes from Mike Farrell, and him only. No other recruiting service or outlet has had anything negative to say about Bucky's work ethic.

I doubt the laziness is true, but competition is good for anyone involved in competitive sports. How many Olympic athletes do you think break world records when they are swimming/running/jumping/throwing by themselves?

Bucky and his father made a decision to stay off the camp circuit. It was not a work ethic issue or a negative issue at all. Farrell used his absence this summer as a justification for the drop which is typical Farrell.

And as was stated, the only reason Parker isn't a 4* everywhere(he is on ESPN) is because he missed his entire junior season. He's already started off this season well and with good film I imagine at least one site may bump him up.
