New to the board here. It's tough to find a place with much traffic to talk Vikings football online, but this place seems to have several quality posters from what I have seen so far.

Rough past two games. I will be the last to make excuses for this team and be a blind, overly optimistic homer, but I do still think we need to keep these past two losses in perspective. We are historically terrible against Philly in general for some reason, and we lost to them on the road - plus they are a damn good team this year. We also historically crap the bed at Soldier Field no matter how badky we should be stomping the Bears, plus division games are always hard.

Finally, even before the Teddy injury, did anyone think we were about to win thw SB this year? I figured we'd go 11-5 again or 12-4, making a legitimate shot at making the NFC championship, or at least the divisional round playoffs. When Teddy went down, everyone assumed we were done. Then AP, both our O-tackles, and others went down early. When you think about it, it's ridiculous that this team managed to start 5-0 in the first place. Fortunately, Chicago has already lost contention for the division, Detroit has very little chance, and Green Bay is trying their damndest to let us take the North again.

I'm not totally giving up hope yet. As it stands, this team is still very capable of winning the division. Now if they take a dump at home against Detroilet next week, then I will admit they are 100% pretenders.
