Unfortunately, these kinds of mindnumbing losses have become commonplace for redskins fans over the years.

Two of these already this year: titans and vikinngs.

I know...that is the part I am not connecting.

I am probably wrong but we might NOT have a free agency period so to speak. If FA starts on 3/15, but the new owner doesn't take possession until 4/1/22 at the earliest, most free agents, including our own, would have moved on most likely.

The new owner will have to get a new GM in place in time for the draft of course. I don't know how it's going to all going to work out and I would have hoped that the new owner would be in place by February 2023. That way the new owner would have their GM in place and the GM would have a staff in place to get a free agent plan in place and start building a draft board. Am I missing something?

To me, it looks like Rivera will be running free agency...but I have no idea what his spending limit would be. It's not like Snyder will tell him to spend whatever he wants?

I am hoping that the new owner has a good idea of who they want to run the team and that a new GM is secured within days. They will have a tremendous amount of work to do in a short time.

For reference Snyder bought the team in May 1999, he retained Norv as coach and they went 10-6 .... he fired Norv during the season the next year.
