USC @ Zona

Having trouble picking this game on pick'ems. I just can't bring myself to buy Zona at this point, I don't know how they've made it to 5-0. Leaning towards USC bouncing back after a tough loss.

Big game for us. Either we prove the nation that we're deserving of that ranking or be brought back down to earth. USC is a very good team and I fully expect their best effort. If we can play defense like we did against oregon, I think we can pull this one off. Go cats!

Arizona is a young team, led by a redshirt freshman QB and a true freshman RB. They have had their shaky moments early in the season as you would expect from such an unexperienced team but have gotten better and better with each game (minus an awful setback in the 1st half against Cal).

Offense is steadily reliable. Defense is inconsistent, at times solid and at times worse than awful.

As a Zona fan, I like their chances and have them coming out on top in a grinder at home.

Without the fan element, though, I admit it'd be hard to pick Zona in this one. It's not like USC has been the model of consistency, either though, so...

That last sentence is damn true. Honestly when I made this thread I forgot Zona had just gone into the ducks house and beat them . Changing my pick to Arizona.

I'm going with Arizona here. It's going to be a sold out crowd, wild atmosphere and I think our offense is going to wear the Trojans' defense out in the second half. Calling a close game until we pull away in the 4th quarter.

We better not take USC lightly though, because they are a talented group.

Trojans have the hogs up front and decent LBs in back to stop the Zona run game in my OP. Do THAT and this one is an easy picker.

On the other side of the ball, Trojans will "dink-n-run" zona's D to death.
