Those were the first games of the season dipshit. They got better than all SEC teams and 127 other teams.LOL

Oh yeah, USC was awesome if you forget all the good teams they played at the start of the year. I forgot those games don't count - what week do games start counting again?

You sound like Michigan fans talking about how good Harbaugh would finish in the Big10 if he didn't lose games during the season.

Yeah, those Washington and Ohio St teams are founding SEC members.

"As for "The SEC was a joke" - total combined score of the Pac12's top2 teams vs Alabama that year - 76-13."

Sounds like you went team SEC to me. Because I clearly said "not named Bama". Maybe since you've never actually seen Alabama play you confuse the teams in the SEC.

As for Washington and Ohio State being ranked higher. USC beat Washington at home and beat Penn State who beat Ohio State in their game and for the conference title.

Washington plays in the Pac12 north and played every team USC lost too, including Alabama.

USC lost to Alabama 52-6, Washington lost 24-7
USC lost to Stanford 27-10, Washington won 44-6
USC lost to Utah 31-27, Washington won 31-24

The only thing really in USC's favor was they won the head to head by 13. But that was Washington's only loss on the season.

What would USC have done in the playoffs that would have been better than Washington? Nothing. Would USC have scored against Clemson that year? They only managed 6 against Alabama. But because those 2 teams made it to the playoffs and played tough teams(2 toughest in the nation by far that year) they get jumped by a 3 loss team who played a team not even in the top4.

It was bullshit for USC to be ranked above them.

It’s close. USC played a tougher schedule and had better wins though. The ranked teams Washington beat were #14 Stanford, #17 Colorado, #23 Utah. USC beat #4 Washington, #7 Penn State, and #17 Colorado.

I think that Washington has wins over 2 teams USC lost to says more.

Also Washington played Alabama tougher.

But really it's all about bowl bias.

To be fair, your are you comparing one game ooc vs an average of a few games for half a conference. What do you expect the result will be?

Well, I guess I wouldn't call 27 games a few...and I wouldn't see much difference between 38-11 and 52-6....especially not when the 38-11 was a 10 year run that included all the conference championship games and last year's National Championship game.

It's also pretty consistent with how we have done against our big OOC opponents to start the year. 9-1 with the one loss being to FSU in 2007 and an average score of 33-14.

Well yeah 27 games isn’t a few. But you are comparing average scores of 27 games compared to one game. The numbers will be absolutely skewed toward those 27 games.

The difference I would see is that 38-11 score a team can come back from (and has) where as 52-6 score a team has never come back from that margin. But yeah, you guys have been impressive.
