That's a solid deal.

And now we aren't totally fucked at QB.

Win - Win for both. The Eagles are only locked in for 2 years and have this year and next years draft to QB of the future. If Bradford turns out to be as good or better than the second half last year he can get a better contract.

Its a lot for a fragile QB which means the Eagles WILL draft his replacement. Who will it be is now the hot topic.

I like the fact it is only for two years. That doesn't eliminate the desire to draft and groom a QB of the future.

But that's a lot of guaranteed money to a mediocre, injury prone QB.

Great move! We still should look to draft a QB, but I really like the idea of not committing to a long-term deal while still getting the chance to see if the final 7 games of the season was an anomaly or if he can consistently play like that

26 million over two years is almost no risk at all. Starting QBs get 15+ million. If he gets so hurt that we have to cut him we'll be out like 10 million off of next years cap and then it's over. This deal looks great.

Thank god it's only 2 years. Maybe they can get out after one year if the future rookie QB shows something. We don't know the structure of the guaranteed money yet.

The two year part brings a sigh of relief. I am surprised his agent did not wait and test the waters.
But then again the 25 million guaranteed must have been tempting.

Also lets us pick a QB that we want instead of whoever falls to us. I'd look for Howie to try to add some ammo for moving up in the 2017 draft to pick a QB.

This gives us a lot of flexibility and doesn't pigeon hole us any where. It's exactly how you want to play the offseason. It allows the front office to make the best long-term football decisions without being tied down.

His contract total is around the top 15-20 in NFL QB salaries. Pretty much fair market value if you ask me. Bradford may not be top 5 but he is far from mediocre.

Sam just turned 28. When this deal is up he could be in line for a 120 million contract. And this gives him pretty good money over the next two years in case he doesn't play well or gets hurt.

Condon knew he wasn't going to get any takers not at $18M so he played it out as much as he could and signed. Gotta give Howie some credit for not going over 2 years. Bradford is now the guy for the next 2 years unless he gets injured which is the biggest concern.

The 2 years deal proves that there wasn't much a market for Scam. Condon is known as a hardballer.

Great deal! Now we can draft his replacement. Maybe Prescott in the 3rd? Driskel in the 5th? Hogan in the 3rd?
Allen in the 4th? If they draft one in the 1st - I'm against that.
