When the Isles made that trade, I told my wife they will pick up Ho Sang. She said how the hell did I know that. I did have my hopes up that he might be available for NJ, but once Isles announced trade, just had that gut feeling.

Quenneville seems like a really good kid. If he turns out to be another Henrique, I am happy. The Devils seem high on him.

The Bolland comparison made me laugh. Picks 1-29 are compared to star players it seemed.

He made a strong Canada under 18 team, he's similar to Henrique, can play the wing or center, plays all 3 zones. Haven't read anything that really throws me off or makes me think this was a bad pick.

Also regarding the Kesler trade, all things considered Vancouver did pretty well. Nick Bonino is younger and put up more points than Kesler, Sbisa is a legit NHLer and they got a first. Not bad considering Kesler had a NTC and said he'd only waive it for Chicago and Anaheim. Now they freed up cap space and got rid of a guy that did not want to play for them.

i know he wasn't there when they drafted him but reading up on that kid ho-sang (which would be a pretty cool jersey). if he was there when the devils were picking they wouldn't have taken him. but he is exactly the type of player that this team needs to draft every now and then.

a high risk high reward guy. some flash some pure offense. this guy quienville while i'm sure he is "good" he wont be anything more then a 3rd line center. it was a "safe" pick 2 way center. i know picking at 30 you dont have many choices. but i believe there was some russian kid barkobov or something still out there? i know we are weary of russians and stuff but still we need offense.

the canucks trade i guess was the best they were going to get for him. bolino had a good year last season but that was his only really productive season so who knows what you will get from him this year. wouldve taken the ducks pick next year if i had the choice
