So today I go to a client to install an external drive to attach to the network for backup. While looking for an outlet to power the drive I find a huge 1500W battery backup that is plugged in but nothing is plugged into it nor is the comm cable attached. When I asked why it was not being used the client said, "Well don't you just plug them in?"
